Montego Bay, Jamaica – The renowned Lester’s Bar at Half Moon resort in Montego Bay has announced the launch of an ultra-limited-edition Half Moon-exclusive Worthy Park Estate’s Special Barrels Series. Crafted with entirely local ingredients and distilled using the artisanal pot method, the Special Barrel series was The expression was aged in an American white oak ex-bourbon cask, resulting in rich and complex flavours that include cardamom, oak, kumquat, and mango, with just a whiff of leather and spices. The label uses the same artwork from Michael Lester’s mural Junkanoo that hangs on the wall at Half Moon.
“We bottled a single cask, and we could bottle just under 400 bottles,” said Alexander Kong, commercial manager at Worthy Park. “We were very excited that Half Moon wanted to collaborate with us on that bottling. We’ve grown quite a strong partnership with them over the past few years and want to replicate that in more hotels across the island.”
The collaboration is a testament to the growing partnership between Worthy Park and Half Moon, which seeks to provide guests with a unique and unforgettable experience.
The limited-edition expression is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into creating the finest rum in Jamaica.
